Hashgraph's technology director expects interest in blockchain to grow further in 2021

In an interview with Cointelegraph, Hedera Hashgrave's Chief Technology Officer, Lemon Bird, said that while interest in Blockchain technology has increased dramatically in 2020, he expects much bigger things in 2021.

"The world as a whole views this industry as blockchain or distributed record technology and says, 'Wow, there's something real out there," said Bird, who holds a Ph.D. in computer science from Carnegie Mellon University. He continued, "This year I have witnessed a rapid increase in interest around the world. I think next year we will see an even greater increase."

Explaining his optimistic outlook for 2021, Bird said, "I am not like people in many previous years," explaining, "This year there wasn't much, but I bet next year will be better."

“I think we're already seeing the beginning of this year, people are really thinking seriously about this real thing after they've been thinking about it on the sidelines for a long time. But now people are starting to really get into it, and people are starting to invest in it. People are already using it in their companies. "

Byrd believes that the industry is currently at the "beginning" of an exponential curve, but our insight is clouded by looking things too closely.

Hashgrave recently announced a partnership with the Chopra Foundation to develop a mental health platform that they hope will expand to 1 billion users.
