Turkish private airline Onur has started shipping cargo to the United States with its Airbus A330 wide-body passenger planes.
The company said in a statement, Friday, that its first plane landed in the morning at "John Kennedy" airport in New York State, with medical supplies on it.
The statement mentioned the statements of the General Manager of Onur, Toman Tucson, who said that they had organized the first cargo flight thanks to the amendments approved by the Turkish General Directorate of Civil Aviation.
He expressed his deep thanks to the General Directorate of Civil Aviation, and all the Turkish officials who made great efforts to reduce the damages incurred by the airlines to the minimum level due to the Coruna outbreak.
Onur completed her 28th year in the air as the first private Turkish airline, and thanks to her new flights, she became the first private airline to offer cargo service from Turkey to the United States.
